about candidatelog

They have all the power. We're changing that.

the mission

The hiring process is broken — and everyone knows it. Companies ghost candidates after multiple rounds. Recruiters disappear. Job postings sit up for months for positions that were never real. And when you ask what happened, nobody answers.

Meanwhile candidates spend hours preparing, writing cover letters, doing take-home tests that take entire weekends — and get nothing back. Not even a rejection email. Just silence.

candidatelog exists to change the balance. Every review is a data point. Enough data points become accountability. And accountability is the only thing that changes behavior.

how it works

📎

Every review is tied to a real job posting URL

Not just a company name. The actual posting — so multiple candidates for the same role can build a shared record.

📊

Structured data, not just opinions

Ghosting rate, interview rounds, time to decision, communication score. Patterns emerge from real numbers.

⚖️

Companies can respond — but never remove

Verified company reps can dispute reviews and post their side. But the original review stays. Always.

your privacy

✅ You only need a username — no real name, no phone number

✅ Your reviews are never linked to your identity publicly

✅ You can delete your account anytime — your reviews stay but become fully anonymous

✅ Company reps only see your review — never who you are

for companies

If you work at a company listed here and want to respond to a review, you can claim your company page. You'll need to verify with a work email — only your domain is shown publicly, never your name. However your email is shown to other reps from your company who has claimed the company page as well.

Verified reps can dispute reviews they believe are inaccurate. The candidate is notified and can respond. Both sides are shown publicly. The review is never removed.

This isn't a platform built against companies. It's built for honesty. Companies that treat candidates well have nothing to fear — and everything to gain.

who built this

I built candidatelog because I lived it. Ghosted after final rounds. Recruiters who disappeared. Gatekeepers who looked down on job seekers. Big corporations doing nothing — because they don't have to. All the cards are in their hands.

I got tired of watching people around me go through the same thing with nowhere to turn. Glassdoor exists but it's corporate-friendly, ad-funded, and easy to game. I wanted something raw, structured, and permanent.

So I built it. No corporate money. No ads. Just candidates, data, and the belief that sunlight is the best disinfectant.
